Real-Time Odoo–Tally Two-Way Synchronization

The Challenge

The client wanted to leverage Odoo for sales order management, POS, and CRM, but their central audit team required maintaining Tally Prime as the primary statutory ledger for Indian GST filings.

Our Approach & Solution

Built a lightweight background service in Python that listens to Odoo sales/invoices and pushes XML payloads directly into Tally Prime via Tally's HTTP interface. Added configurable field mapping and direction toggles per journal entry.

Results & Business Impact

Eliminated over 150 hours of duplicate monthly data entry. Ensured zero discrepancy between Odoo POS sales and Tally financial ledgers with real-time error logging.
